Licia Sonnets 11 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGH

In Ida vale three queens the shepherd sawA
Queens of esteem divine they were all threeB
A sight of worth But I a wonder shawA
Their virtues all in one alone to beB
Licia the fair surpassing Venus' prideC
The matchless queen commander of the godsD
When drawn with doves she in her pomp doth rideC
Hath far more beauty and more grace by oddsD
Juno Jove's wife unmeet to make compareE
I grant a goddess but not half so mildF
Minerva wise a virtue but not rareE
Yet these are mean if that my love but smiledF
She them surpasseth when their prides are fullG
As far as they surpass the meanest trullH
