Licia Sonnets 09 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGHH

Love was laid down all weary fast asleepA
Whereas my love his armor took awayB
The boy awaked and straight began to weepA
But stood amazed and knew not what to sayB
Weep not my boy said Venus to her sonC
Thy weapons none can wield but thou aloneD
Licia the fair this harm to thee hath doneC
I saw her here and presently was goneE
She will restore them for she hath no needF
To take thy weapons where thy valour liesG
For men to wound the Fates have her decreedF
With favour hands with beauty and with eyesG
No Venus no she scorns them credit meH
But robbed thy son that none might care for theeH
