Licia Sonnets 08 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGFGGGHard are the rocks the marble and the steel | A |
The ancient oak with wind and weather tossed | B |
But you my love far harder do I feel | A |
Than flint or these or is the winter's frost | B |
My tears too weak your heart they cannot move | C |
My sighs that rock like wind it cannot rent | D |
Too tiger like you swear you cannot love | E |
But tears and sighs you fruitless back have sent | D |
The frost too hard not melted with my flame | F |
I cinders am and yet you feel no heat | G |
Surpass not these sweet love for very shame | F |
But let my tears my vows my sighs entreat | G |
Then shall I say as I by trial find | G |
These all are hard but you my love are kind | G |
