From Shadows To Light Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

In the shadow of wealth where silence dwellsA
A poor man speaks but his words repelB
No crown of gold no robe of fameC
His wisdom drowned his voice a flameC
-
To those beneath him he's but a jestD
A hollow drum a man suppressedD
Confidence wears the guise of prideE
And truth when spoken is cast asideE
-
The night is long its darkness deepF
Where dreams are buried and hearts must weepF
Yet even night must yield to dawnG
And wealth like tides moves on and onH
-
The moonlight fades and shadows breakI
The world transforms as mornings wakeI
So too does fortune shift its courseJ
As droughts give way to rivers' forceJ
-
Unbalanced life a pendulum swingsK
From paupers rise the hearts of kingsK
For poverty like a fleeting shadeL
Can birth the strength that riches fadeL
-
His hands though calloused build their wallsM
Yet none will heed his earnest callsM
But time unyielding will have its sayN
As night surrenders to the dayN
-
His knowledge blooms in the soil of strifeO
Each word a pearl a piece of lifeO
Though pearls are lost in the muck of disdainP
The day will cleanse where storms have lainP
-
Oh cruel the world that weighs a manQ
By coins and riches he does not spanQ
Yet nature knows what balance bringsK
From barren nests take flight new wingsK
-
So let him rise though scorned ignoredR
With every step his spirit restoredR
For one day soon his voice will singS
And echo loud as truth s own ringS
