To R. B. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

The fine delight that fathers thought the strongA
Spur live and lancing like the blowpipe flameB
Breathes once and quench egrave d faster than it cameB
Leaves yet the mind a mother of immortal songA
Nine months she then nay years nine years she longA
Within her wears bears cares and moulds the sameB
The widow of an insight lost she lives with aimB
Now known and hand at work now never wrongA
Sweet fire the sire of muse my soul needs thisC
I want the one rapture of an inspirationD
O then if in my lagging lines you missC
The roll the rise the carol the creationD
My winter world that scarcely breathes that blissC
Now yields you with some sighs our explanationD
