The Sea And The Skylark Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDC DCD

On ear and ear two noises too old to endA
Trench right the tide that ramps against the shoreB
With a flood or a fall low lull off or all roarB
Frequenting there while moon shall wear and wendA
Left hand off land I hear the lark ascendA
His rash fresh re winded new skein egrave d scoreB
In crisps of curl off wild winch whirl and pourB
And pelt music till none 's to spill nor spendA
-
How these two shame this shallow and frail townC
How ring right out our sordid turbid timeD
Being pure We life's pride and cared for crownC
-
Have lost that cheer and charm of earth's past primeD
Our make and making break are breaking downC
To man's last dust drain fast towards man's first slimeD
