You Have Crossed The Rubicon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDECCFGH

I was a young vine with leaves until you turned me into a pineA
A flowing river then you seared me into a desertB
I was the dazzling sun a cynosure of many eyes until you raped me of my iridescenceC
The pride of many men until you smeared me with lustD
I was the voice of the lad until you severed my tongueE
The endless sea of treasures until you cut me open and gave them to dogsC
The eaglet learning to soar until you clipped my wingsC
The rain of promise until you drained my brainF
The beacon of hope until you obfuscated my lightG
Enough For I have drank the cup of fury and eaten many bowls of pain I am fed up You have crossed the RubiconH
