Gim me back my stone bruised heelB
And them tow linen pantsC
An' that old pole an' line an' reelB
An' all them boyhood ha'ntsC
An' that old hat I used to wearD
That didn't hav' no crownE
An' that same crop uv yeller hairD
Sun burnt on top ter brownE
An' them playmates I used ter knowF
An' loved like very brothersC
An' you kin let the old world goF
An' giv' its wealth ter othersC

Gim me back one gallus tooG
That buttoned with a pegH
An' them blamed ticks that burrowed throughG
The skin uv either legH
An' that old single barrel gunI
As crooked as a railJ
An' that same dog that used ter runI
The molly cotton tailJ
An' lem me hav' the tops I spunI
The kites that I hav' sailedK
An' then at last when life is doneI
Who'd keer if it had failedK
