December Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDCEE A FGFGEE

-
White shrouded latest born of all the yearB
In thy cold hands no bud or floweret bearingC
Thou comest now to wail above the bierD
Of thy dead sisters on thy bosom wearingC
The icy jewel and the frosted gemE
But on thy marble brow the Star of BethlehemE

-
Beneath thy foot prints lie the Autumn leavesF
Mould'ring and hast'ning to decayG
And where the drifting snow its mantle weavesF
The Summer songsters sang the happy hours awayG
What tho' the birds have flown the blighted stemE
There's in thy jeweled crown the Star of BethlehemE
