And sisters ye are dear as life | F |
But when I look upon my wife | F |
My heart blood gives a sudden rush | E |
And all my fond affections blend | G |
In mother sisters wife and friend | G |

Yes woman's love is free from guile | H |
And pure as bright Aurora's ray | I |
The heart will melt before her smile | H |
And base born passions fade away | I |
Were I the monarch of the earth | J |
Or master of the swelling sea | B |
I would not estimate their worth | J |
