The Beam Of Devotion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACAC DEDEAFAG

I never could find a good reasonA
Why sorrow unbidden should stayB
And all the bright joys of life's seasonA
Be driven unheeded awayB
Our cares would wake no more emotionA
Were we to our lot but resignedC
Than pebbles flung into the oceanA
That leave scarce a ripple behindC
-
The world has a spirit of beautyD
Which looks upon all for the bestE
And while it discharges its dutyD
To Providence leaves all the restE
That spirit's the beam of devotionA
Which lights us through life to its closeF
And sets like the sun in the oceanA
More beautiful far than it roseG
