Silent Grief Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH

Where is now my peace of mindA
Gone alas for evermoreB
Turn where'er I may I findA
Thorns where roses bloomed beforeB
O'er the green fields of my soulC
Where the springs of joy were foundD
Now the clouds of sorrow rollC
Shading all the prospect roundD
-
Do I merit pangs like theseE
That have cleft my heart in twainF
Must I to the very leesE
Drain thy bitter chalice PainF
Silent grief all grief excelsG
Life and it together partH
Like a restless worm it dwellsG
Deep within the human heartH
