Rosabel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFG HIJIKCLC AMNMILOL PQRQJSJS ALTLCJAJ JEUGVWAW

I miss thee from my side belovedA
I miss thee from my sideB
And wearily and drearilyC
Flows Time's resistless tideB
The world and all its fleeting joysD
To me are worse than vainE
Until I clasp thee to my heartF
Beloved one againG
-
The wildwood and the forest pathH
We used to thread of yoreI
With bird and bee have flown with theeJ
And gone for ever moreI
There is no music in the groveK
No echo on the hillC
But melancholy boughs are thereL
And hushed the whip poor willC
-
I miss thee in the town belovedA
I miss thee in the townM
From morn I grieve till dewy eveN
Spreads wide its mantle brownM
My spirit's wings that once could soarI
In Fancy's world of airL
Are crushed and beaten to the groundO
By life corroding careL
-
No more I hear thy thrilling voiceP
Nor see thy winning faceQ
That once would gleam like morning's beamR
In mental pride and graceQ
Thy form of matchless symmetryJ
In sweet perfection castS
Is now the star of memoryJ
That fades not with the pastS
-
I miss thee everywhere belovedA
I miss thee everywhereL
Both night and day wear dull awayT
And leave me in despairL
The banquet hall the play the ballC
And childhood's sportive gleeJ
Have lost their spell for me belovedA
My souls is full of theeJ
-
Has Rosabel forgotten meJ
And love I now in vainE
If that be so my heart can knowU
No rest on earth againG
A sad and weary lot is mineV
To love and be forgotW
A sad and weary lot belovedA
A sad and weary lotW
