Oh, Would That She Were Here! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEAGHG AIHIJKLKAHMH AHHHNONPAQNQ

Oh would that she were hereA
These hills and dales amongB
Where vocal groves are gayly mockedC
By Echo's airy tongueB
Where jocund nature smilesD
In all her boon attireE
And roams the deeply tangled wildsF
Of hawthorn and sweet brierE
Oh would that she were hereA
The gentle maid I singG
Whose voice is cheerful as the songsH
Of forest birds in springG
-
Oh would that she were hereA
Where the free waters leapI
Shouting in sportive joyousnessH
Adown the rocky steepI
Where zephyrs crisp and coolJ
The fountains as they playK
With health upon their wings of lightL
And gladness on their wayK
Oh would that she were hereA
With these balm breathing treesH
The sylvan daughters of the sunM
The rain cloud and the breezeH
-
Oh would that she were hereA
Where glide the rosy hoursH
Murm'ring the drowsy hum of beesH
And fragrant with the flowersH
Where Heaven's redeeming loveN
Spans earth in Mercy's bowO
The promise of the world aboveN
Unto the world belowP
Oh would that she were hereA
Amid these shades sereneQ
Oh for the spell of woman's loveN
To consecrate the sceneQ
