I Love Thee Still Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED FGFHIDID FJFJBDBD

I never have been false to theeA
The heart I gave thee still is thineB
Though thou hast been untrue to meA
And I no more may call thee mineB
I've loved as woman ever lovesC
With constant soul in good or illD
Thou'st proved as man too often provesE
A rover but I love thee stillD
-
Yet think not that my spirit stoopsF
To bind thee captive in my trainG
Love's not a flower at sunset droopsF
But smiles when comes her god againH
Thy words which fall unheeded nowI
Could once my heart strings madly thrillD
Love a golden chain and burning vowI
Are broken but I love thee stillD
-
Once what a heaven of bliss was oursF
When love dispelled the clouds of careJ
And time went by with birds and flowersF
While song and incense filled the airJ
The past is mine the present thineB
Should thoughts of me thy future fillD
Think what a destiny is mineB
To lose but love thee false one stillD
