Love That Lives Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLKK KDKD

Dear face bright glinting hairA
Dear life whose heart is mineB
The thought of you is prayerA
The love of you divineB
-
In starlight or in rainC
In the sunset's shrouded glowD
Ever with joy or painC
To you my quick thoughts goD
-
Like winds or clouds that fleetE
Across the hungry spaceF
Between and find you sweetE
Where life again wins graceF
-
Now as in that once youngG
Year that so softly drewH
My heart to where it clungG
I long for gladden in youH
-
And when in the silent hoursI
I whisper your sacred nameJ
Like an altar fire it showersI
My blood with fragrant flameJ
-
Perished is all that grievesK
And lo our old new joysL
Are gathered as in sheavesK
Held in love's equipoiseK
-
Ours is the love that livesK
Its springtime blossoms blowD
'Mid the fruit that autumn givesK
And its life outlasts the snowD
