Famine And Harvest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE FGFG HIHI GGGG

Plymouth PlantationA
-
-
The strong and the tenderB
The young and the oldC
Unto Death we must renderB
Our silver our goldC
-
To break their long sleepingD
No voice may availE
They hear not our weepingD
Our famished love's wailE
-
Yea those whom we cherishF
Depart day by dayG
Soon we too shall perishF
And crumble to clayG
-
And the vine and the berryH
Above us will bloomI
The wind shall make merryH
While we lie in gloomI
-
Fear not Though thou starvestG
Provision is madeG
God gathers His harvestG
When our hopes fadeG
