A Face In The Street Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABABCDCDEE

Poor withered face that yet was once so fairA
Grown ashen old in the wild fires of lustB
Thy star like beauty dimm'd with earthly dustB
Yet breathing of a purer native airA
They who whilom cursed vultures sought a shareA
Of thy dead womanhood their greed unjustB
Have satisfied have stripped and left thee bareA
Still like a leaf warped by the autumn gustB
And driving to the end thou wrapp'st in flameC
And perfume all thy hollow eyed decayD
Feigning on those gray cheeks the blush that ShameC
Took with her when she fled long since awayD
Ah God rain fire upon this foul souled cityE
That gives such death and spares its men for pityE
