Sonnet (i) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFFECC

My God where is that ancient heat towards theeA
Wherewith whole showls of Martyrs once did burnB
Besides their other flames Doth PoetryA
Wear Venus livery only serve her turnB
Why are not Sonnets made of thee and layesC
Upon thine Altar burnt Cannot thy loveD
Heighten a spirit to sound out thy praiseC
As well as any she Cannot thy DoveD
Out strip their Cupid easily in flightE
Or since thy wayes are deep and still the fameF
Will not a verse run smooth that bears thy nameF
Why doth that fire which by thy power and mightE
Each breast does feel no braver fuel chooseC
Than that which one day Worms may chance refuseC
