Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCCDEEDEE

Prayer the Churches banquet Angels ageA
Gods breath in man returning to his birthB
The soul in paraphrase heart in pilgramageA
The Christian plummet sounding heav'n and earthB
Engine against th'Almightie sinners towreC
Reversed thunder Christ side piercing spearC
The six daies world transposing in an houreC
A kinde of tune which all things heare and fearC
Softnesse and peace and joy and love and blisseD
Exalted Manna gladnesse of the bestE
Heaven in ordinarie man well drestE
The milkie way the bird of ParadiseD
Church bels beyond the starres heard the souls bloudE
The land of spices something understoodE
