Love (iii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEFEGG HIHIJJ

Love bade me welcome yet my soul drew backA
Guilty of dust and sinB
But quick eyed Love observing me grow slackA
From my first entrance inB
Drew nearer to me sweetly questioningC
If I lacked anythingC
-
A guest I answered worthy to be hereD
Love said You shall be heE
I the unkind ungrateful Ah my dearF
I cannot look on TheeE
Love took my hand and smiling did replyG
Who made the eyes but IG
-
Truth Lord but I have marred them let my shameH
Go where it doth deserveI
And know you not says Love who bore the blameH
My dear then I will serveI
You must sit down says Love and taste my meatJ
So I did sit and eatJ
