Grace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DBDC ECEC FBFC GCGC HBH

My stock lies dead and no increaseA
Doth my dull husbandry improveB
O let thy graces without ceaseA
Drop from aboveC
-
If still the sun should hide his faceD
Thy house would but a dungeon proveB
Thy works night's captives O let graceD
Drop from aboveC
-
The dew doth ev'ry morning fallE
And shall the dew outstrip thy doveC
The dew for which grass cannot callE
Drop from aboveC
-
Death is still working like a moleF
And digs my grave at each removeB
Let grace work too and on my soulF
Drop from aboveC
-
Sin is still hammering my heartG
Unto a hardness void of loveC
Let suppling grace to cross his artG
Drop from aboveC
-
O come for thou dost know the wayH
Or if to me thou wilt not moveB
Remove me where I need not sayH
'Drop from above '-
