To Woman Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAACCDDDDEEFGHHII JB

Woman experience might have told meA
That all must love thee who behold theeA
Surely experience might have taughtB
Thy firmest promises are noughtB
But plac'd in all thy charms before meA
All I forget but to adore theeA
Oh memory thou choicest blessingC
When join'd with hope when still possessingC
But how much curst by every loverD
When hope is fled and passion's overD
Woman that fair and fond deceiverD
How prompt are striplings to believe herD
How throbs the pulse when first we viewE
The eye that rolls in glossy blueE
Or sparkles black or mildly throwsF
A beam from under hazel browsG
How quick we credit every oathH
And hear her plight the willing trothH
Fondly we hope 'twill last for ayI
When lo she changes in a dayI
This record will for ever stand 'J
Woman thy vows are trac'd in sandB
