To E' Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

Let Folly smile to view the namesA
Of thee and me in Friendship twin'dB
Yet Virtue will have greater claimsA
To love than rank with vice combin'dB
-
And though unequal is thy fateC
Since title deck'd my higher birthD
Yet envy not this gaudy stateC
Thine is the pride of modest worthD
-
Our souls at least congenial meetE
Nor can thy lot my rank disgraceF
Our intercourse is not less sweetE
Since worth of rank supplies the placeF
