Sadness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFAGAGHIHJ EKEK

Lo a pallid fleecy vapourA
Far along the East is spreadB
Every star has quench'd its taperA
Lately glimmering over headB
On the leaves that bend so lowlyC
Drops of crystal water gleamD
Yawning wide the peasant slowlyC
Drives afield his sluggish teamD
Dreary looks the forest lackingE
Song of birds that slumber muteF
No rough swain is yet attackingE
With his bill the beech's rootF
Night's terrific ghostly hourA
Backward through time's circle fliesG
No shrill clock from moss grown towerA
Bids the dead men wake and riseG
Wearied out with midnight riotH
Mystic Nature slumbers nowI
Mouldering bodies rest in quietH
'Neath their tomb lids damp and lowJ
Sad and chill the wind is sighingE
Through the reeds that skirt the poolK
All around looks dead or dyingE
Wrapt in sorrow clad in doolK
