Ode (from The Gaelic) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBACDCCEFDAGBCGCGCHI ACJHKBDG

Is luaimnach mo chodal an nochdA
-
-
Oh restless to night are my slumbersB
Life yet I retain but not gladnessB
My heart in my bosom is wither'dA
And sorrow sits heavy upon meC
For cold in her grave hill is lyingD
The maid whom I gaz'd on so fondlyC
Whose teeth were like chalk from the quarryC
Whose voice was more sweet than harp musicE
Like foam that subsides on the waterF
Just where the wild swan has been playingD
Like snow by the sunny beam meltedA
My love thou wert gone on a suddenG
Salt tears I let fall in abundanceB
When memory bringeth before meC
That eye like the placid blue heavenG
That cheek like the rose in its gloryC
Sweet object of warmest affectionG
Why could not thy beauty protect theeC
Why sparing so many a thistleH
Did Death cut so lovely a blossomI
Here pine I forlorn and abandon'dA
Where once I was cheerful and merryC
No joy shall e'er shine on my visageJ
Until my last hour's arrivalH
O like the top grain on the corn earK
Or like the young pine 'mong the bushesB
Or like the moon 'mong the stars shiningD
Wert thou O my love amongst womenG
