Reductio Ad Absurdum Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCAB DEFFDE DAGGDA HIEEHI HAJKHA

I had come from the city earlyA
That Saturday afternoonB
I sat with Beatrix under the treesC
In the mossy orchard the golden beesC
Buzzed over clover tops pink and pearlyA
I was at peace and inclined to spoonB
-
We were stopping awhile with motherD
At the quiet country placeE
Where first we'd met one blossomy MayF
And fallen in love so the dreamy dayF
Brought to my memory many anotherD
In the happy time when I won her graceE
-
Days in the bright Spring weatherD
When the twisted rough old treeA
Showered down apple blooms dainty and sweetG
That swung in her hair and blushed at her feetG
Sweet was her face as we lingered togetherD
And dainty the kisses my love gave meA
-
Dear love are you recallingH
The old days too I saidI
Her sweet eyes filled and with tender graceE
She turned and rested her blushing faceE
Against my shoulder a sunbeam fallingH
Through the leaves above us crowned her headI
-
And so I held her trustingH
That none was by to seeA
A sad mistake for low but clearJ
This feminine comment reached my earK
Married for ages it's just disgustingH
Such actions and Fred they've got our treeA
