Ten o'clock Well I'm sure I can't help itA
I'm up go away from the doorB
Now children I'll speak to your motherC
If you pound there like that any moreB
-
How tired I do feel Where's that cushionD
I don't want to move from this chairE
I wish Marie'd make her appearanceF
I really can't do my own hairE
-
I wish I'd not danced quite so oftenD
I knew I'd feel tired but it's hardG
To refuse a magnificent dancerC
If you have a place left on your cardG
-
I was silly to wear that green satinD
It's a shame that I've spotted it soH
All down the front breadth it's just ruinedI
No trimming will hide that I knowH
-
That's me Have a costume importedJ
And spoil it the very first nightK
I might make an overskirt of itA
That shade looks so lovely with whiteK
-
How horrid my eyes look Good graciousL
I hope that I didn't catch coldM
Sitting out on the stairs with Will StacyN
If Ma knew that wouldn't she scoldM
-
She says he's so fast well who isn'tO
Dear where is Marie how it rainsP
I don't care he's real nice and handsomeQ
And his talk sounds as if he'd some brainsP
-
I do wonder what is the reasonD
That good men are all like Joe PriceR
So poky and stiff and conceitedS
And fast ones are always so niceR
-
Just see how Joe acted last eveningT
He didn't come near me at allU
Because I danced twice with Will StacyN
That night at the Charity ballU
-
I didn't care two pins to do itA
But Joe said I mustn't and soH
I just did he isn't my masterC
Nor sha'n't be I'd like him to knowH
-
I don't think he looked at me evenV
Though just to please him I wore greenW
And I'd saved him three elegant dancesX
I wouldn't have acted so meanW
-
The way he went on with Nell HadleyN
Dear me just as if I would careE
I'd like to see those two get marriedY
They'd make a congenial pairE
-
I'm getting disgusted with partiesZ
I think I shall stop going outA2
What's the use of this fussing for peopleB2
I don't care the least bit aboutA2
-
I did think that Joe had some sense onceF
But my he's just like all the menC2
And the way that I've gone on about himD2
Just see if I do it againC2
-
Only wait till the next time I see himD2
I'll pay him back wont I be coolE2
I've a good mind to drop him completelyN
I'll yes I will go back to schoolE2
-
The bell who can that be I wonderC
Let's see I declare why it's JoeH
How long they are keeping him waitingT
Good gracious why don't the girl goH
-
Yes say I'll be down in a minuteF2
Quick Marie and do up my hairE
Not that bow the green one Joe likes itA
How slow you are I'll pin it thereE
