Sonetto I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBBBBCBDBEE

LADIES who of my lord would fain be toldA
Picture a gentle knight full sweet to seeB
Though young in years in wisdom passing oldA
Model of glory and of valiancyB
Fair haired bright colour glowing in his faceB
Tall and well set broad shouldered finallyB
In all his parts a paragon of graceB
Except in loving wantonly ah meB
Who'd know myself picture a woman wroughtC
In passion and in presence after pain'sB
And death's own bitter images a portD
Of safety where untroubled rest remainsB
One who with neither tears nor sighs nor zestE
Wakes pity in her cruel lover's breastE
