Rime 34 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEGHIJKLM| Love do you know why your fair mother gave you | A |
| These arrows to your hands and bound your eyes | B |
| That you may shoot the first wound and break | C |
| The heart of this or any faithful lover | D |
| And tied the blindfold so you cannot see | E |
| The dreadful cruelty you have inflicted | F |
| So that it will not let you suffer pity | E |
| Or even moderate your impious furor | G |
| For if you saw one of my dreadful wounds | H |
| You would not be a god but a wild beast | I |
| Or it might make you tender or less fierce | J |
| I would not wish you to come face to face | K |
| With the rays of my sun my wound would seem | L |
| Next to his greatness small and even light | M |
