Rime 161 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGAHIDJKI

Toward that sweet nest where I remained though partingA
And where the better part of me still lingersB
Whether the weary sun returns or leavesC
I always spread the wings of my desireD
And still from time to time I blame myselfE
For never having used device or forceF
To stay with you knowing away from youG
A thousand times a day I die while livingA
My doubtful feet were moved by constant hopeH
That you would follow soon to visit meI
Extend my fleeting life a little longerD
Observe my lord the promise you have givenJ
To come and make these dreary shores aliveK
Joyous and loved and me grateful and happyI
