Rime 08 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHBGBIAJIf I who am an abject low born woman | A |
Can bear within me such lofty fire | B |
Why should I not possess at least a little | C |
Poetic power to tell it to the world | D |
If Love with such a new unheard of flint | E |
Lifted me up where I could never climb | F |
Why cannot I in an unusual way | G |
Make pain and pen be equal in myself | H |
If Love cannot do this by force of nature | B |
Perhaps as by a miracle he may | G |
Passing and bursting every common measure | B |
How that can be I cannot well explain | I |
But yet I feel because of my great fortune | A |
My heart imprinted with a strong new style | J |
