Are some people born cursedA
Are some people bornB
Halfway incomplete and worthlessC
I am an unfinished paintingD
A painting that is seenE
And scournedA
A painting that does notA
Represent beautyA
A painting that representsF
HideousnessF
A painting whose artistA
Is misfortuneG
You can see his name engraved on my legsF
-
How can a man who can't standA
On his own two feetA
Stand tall and proudA
How can he look usefulH
When his legs are uselessF
I am seen as a defective machineE
A machine that is incapableH
Of fulfilling any taskI
A prototype of a human beingD
A disadvantaged man placedA
In a disadvantaged placeF
A man physically designed to be poorJ
A man who can never earn a livingD
A man whose life is not worth livingD
-
I have one blessing in lifeK
A friend who never leaves my sideA
A truly noble man who lacks prideA
A friend proud to walk with and incomplete beingD
A friend who calls me the greatest thingD
A friend who calls me brotherL
He is my strengthM
Even though he is weak as wellN
He is dyingD
But he wants me to keep livingD
His blood screams in painO
I pray that one dayA
His leukaemia is slainO
He would leave his death bedA
For me to rest in peaceF
This man should not know deathP
I am the one who should be on his last breathP
-
A crippled man can't work foreverL
Even in all my endeavoursF
They saw me as a liabilityA
I am dead weightA
A man with no purposeF
A crippled manQ
Whose life is worthlessF
-
My life was coming to a closeF
When the leukemia tookR
What mattered mostA
The ground wailed for meA
Knowing that my brotherL
Will return to the soilS
I remember his first words to meA
''Paul keep on living '' he saidA
Now I stare at his lifeless corpseF
Wishing it was me who death tookR
I am just a crippled manQ
Nothing but broken bonesF
Why should I live whenT
The one who kept me alive is deadA
Why should I stay in a worldA
With no love for the crippledA
Without my brotherL
I am truly incompleteA
