To Emma Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDECC CFCGAA

Far away where darkness reignethA
All my dreams of bliss are flownB
Yet with love my gaze remainethA
Fixed on one fair star aloneB
But alas that star so brightC
Sheds no lustre save by nightC
-
If in slumbers ending neverD
Gloomy death had sealed thine eyesE
Thou hadst lived in memory everD
Thou hadst lived still in my sighsE
But alas in light thou livestC
To my love no answer givestC
-
Can the sweet hopes love once cherishedC
Emma can they transient proveF
What has passed away and perishedC
Emma say can that be loveG
That bright flame of heavenly birthA
Can it die like things of earthA
