Sing Not Of Beauty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAA CDCD EFEF AGAG

Sing not of beauty's grace to meA
Its very name a story tellsB
Of doubly dark inconstancyA
Love falser than a hundred hellsA
-
Its face is often but a screenC
To hide a devil's heart of guileD
Of thoughts and deeds of shameful mienC
By winning looks of heartless wileD
-
Its laughing smile is but the gleamE
That springs from dross of foulest makeF
It stirs a sweet but idle dreamE
Then leaves the trusting heart to breakF
-
Sing not of beauty's grace to meA
I can not bear to hear the nameG
For oh Too oft in it I seeA
A soul of falsehood and of shameG
