To The Emperor William I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCAADADAD

YOU are at least a Man of men a KingA
You have a heart and with that heart you loveB
The race you come from is not gendered ofB
The filthy sty whose latest litter clingA
Round England's flesh pots gorged hogs gluttoningA
No but on flaming battlefields in courtsC
Of honour and of danger old resortsC
The name of Hohen Zollern clear doth ringA
O Father William you not falsely weakA
Who never spared the rod to spoil the childD
Our mighty Germany we only speakA
To bless you with a blessing sweet and mildD
Ere that near heaven your weary footsteps seekA
Where love with liberty is reconciledD
