To Henry George In America Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBCDEEDED

Not for the thought that burns on keen and clearA
Heat that the heat has turned from red to whiteB
The passion of the lone remembering nightB
One with the patience day must see and hearC
Not for the shafts the lying foemen fearA
Shot from the soul's intense self centring lightB
But for the heart of love divine and brightB
We praise you worker thinker poet seerC
Man of the People faithful in all partsD
The veins' last drop the brain's last flickering doleE
You on whose forehead beams the aureoleE
That hope and certain hope alone impartsD
Us have you given your perfect heart and soulE
Wherefore receive as yours our souls and heartsD
