From A Verandah. (sydney.) "armageddon." Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABA CBDB DDBD

O city lapped in sun and Sabbath restA
With happy face of plenteous ease possessedA
Have you no doubts that whisper dreams that moanB
Disquietude to stir your slumbering breastA
-
Think you the sins of other climes are goneC
The harlot's curse rings in your streets the groanB
Of out worn men the stabbed and plundered slavesD
Of ever growing Greed these are your ownB
-
O'er you shall sweep the fiery hell that cravesD
For quenchment the bright blood of human wavesD
For you if you repent not shall atoneB
For Greed's dark death holes with War's swarming gravesD
