From A Verandah Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A A BBABAACACCAC

'Armageddon'A
-
O CITY lapped in sun and Sabbath restB
With happy face of plenteous ease possessedB
Have you no doubts that whisper dreams that moanA
Disquietude to stir your slumbering breastB
Think you the sins of other climes are goneA
The harlot's curse rings in your streets the groanA
Of out worn men the stabbed and plundered slavesC
Of ever growing Greed these are your ownA
O'er you shall sweep the fiery hell that cravesC
For quenchment the bright blood of human wavesC
For you if you repent not shall atoneA
For Greed's dark death holes with War's swarming gravesC
