Lament For Thomas Macdonagh Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH

He shall not hear the bittern cryA
In the wild sky where he is lainB
Nor voices of the sweeter birdsC
Above the wailing of the rainB
-
Nor shall he know when loud March blowsD
Thro' slanting snows her fanfare shrillE
Blowing to flame the golden cupF
Of many an upset daffodilE
-
But when the Dark Cow leaves the moorG
And pastures poor with greedy weedsH
Perhaps he'll hear her low at mornI
Lifting her horn in pleasant meadsH
