June Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDDDDEDEFGFHIJIK LMLM

Broom out the floor now lay the fender byA
And plant this bee sucked bough of woodbine thereB
And let the window down The butterflyA
Floats in upon the sunbeam and the fairB
Tanned face of June the nomad gipsy laughsC
Above her widespread wares the while she tellsD
The farmers' fortunes in the fields and quaffsD
The water from the spider peopled wellsD
The hedges are all drowned in green grass seasD
And bobbing poppies flare like Elmo's lightE
While siren like the pollen staind beesD
Drone in the clover depths And up the heightE
The cuckoo's voice is hoarse and broke with joyF
And on the lowland crops the crows make raidG
Nor fear the clappers of the farmer's boyF
Who sleeps like drunken Noah in the shadH
And loop this red rose in that hazel ringI
That snares your little ear for June is shortJ
And we must joy in it and dance and singI
And from her bounty draw her rosy worthK
Ay soon the swallows will be flying southL
The wind wheel north to gather in the snowM
Even the roses spilt on youth's red mouthL
Will soon blow down the road all roses goM
