Had I A Golden Pound Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DECE FACA

Had I a golden pound to spendA
My love should mend and sew no moreB
And I would buy her a little quernC
Easy to turn on the kitchen floorB
-
And for her windows curtains whiteD
With birds in flight and flowers in bloomE
To face with pride the road to townC
And mellow down her sunlit roomE
-
And with the silver change we'd proveF
The Truth of Love to life's own endA
With hearts the years could but emboldenC
Had I a golden pound to spendA
