Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD DEDE FGFG

Now leafy winds are blowing coldA
And South by West the sun goes downB
A quiet huddles up the foldA
In sheltered corners of the brownB
-
Like scattered fire the wild fruit strewsC
The ground beneath the blowing treeD
And there the busy squirrel hewsC
His deep and secret granaryD
-
And when the night comes starry clearD
The lonely quail complains besideE
The glistening waters on the mereD
Where widowed Beauties yet abideE
-
And I too make my own complaintF
Upon a reed I plucked in JuneG
And love to hear it echoed faintF
Upon another heart in tuneG
