A Soldier's Grave Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

Then in the lull of midnight gentle armsA
Lifted him slowly down the slopes of deathB
Lest he should hear again the mad alarmsA
Of battle dying moans and painful breathB
-
And where the earth was soft for flowers we madeC
A grave for him that he might better restD
So Spring shall come and leave it seet arrayedC
And there the lark shall turn her dewy nestD
