A Rainy Day In April Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAB CCCB DDDE FFFE

When the clouds shake their hyssops and the rainA
Like holy water falls upon the plainA
'Tis sweet to gaze upon the springing grainA
And see your harvest bornB
-
And sweet the little breeze of melodyC
The blackbord puffs upon teh budding treeC
While the wild poppy lights upon the leaC
And blazes 'mid the cornB
-
The skylark soars the freshening shower to hailD
And the meek daisy holds aloft her pailD
And Spring all radiant by the wayside paleD
Sets up her rock and reelE
-
See how she weaves her mantle fold on foldF
Hemming the woods and carpeting the woldF
Her warp is of the green her woof the goldF
The spinning world her wheelE
