Sonnet Xlvi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B CDDCCDDCEFFEGG H

L' arbor gentil che forte amai molt' anniA
-
IMPRECATION AGAINST THE LAURELB
-
-
The graceful tree I loved so long and wellC
Ere its fair boughs in scorn my flame declinedD
Beneath its shade encouraged my poor mindD
To bud and bloom and 'mid its sorrow swellC
But now my heart secure from such a spellC
Alas from friendly it has grown unkindD
My thoughts entirely to one end confinedD
Their painful sufferings how I still may tellC
What should he say the sighing slave of loveE
To whom my later rhymes gave hope of blissF
Who for that laurel has lost all but thisF
May poet never pluck thee more nor JoveE
Exempt but may the sun still hold in hateG
On each green leaf till blight and blackness waitG
