Sonnet Lxxxviii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B CDDCCDDCEFFEGG B

La donna che 'l mio cor nel viso portaA
-
HER KIND AND GENTLE SALUTATION THRILLS HIS HEART WITH PLEASUREB
-
-
She in her face who doth my gone heart wearC
As lone I sate 'mid love thoughts dear and trueD
Appear'd before me to show honour dueD
I rose with pallid brow and reverent airC
Soon as of such my state she was awareC
She turn'd on me with look so soft and newD
As in Jove's greatest fury might subdueD
His rage and from his hand the thunders tearC
I started on her further way she pass'dE
Graceful and speaking words I could not brookF
Nor of her lustrous eyes the loving lookF
When on that dear salute my thoughts are castE
So rich and varied do my pleasures flowG
No pain I feel nor evil fear belowG
