Sonnet Liii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B CCCCCCCCDEDFGG H

Ben sapev' io che natural consiglioA
-
FLEEING FROM LOVE HE FALLS INTO THE HANDS OF HIS MINISTERSB
-
-
Full well I know that natural wisdom noughtC
Love 'gainst thy power in any age prevail'dC
For snares oft set fond oaths that ever fail'dC
Sore proofs of thy sharp talons long had taughtC
But lately and in me it wonder wroughtC
With care this new experience be detail'dC
'Tween Tuscany and Elba as I sail'dC
On the salt sea it first my notice caughtC
I fled from thy broad hands and by the wayD
An unknown wanderer 'neath the violenceE
Of winds and waves and skies I helpless layD
When lo thy ministers I knew not whenceF
Who quickly made me by fresh stings to feelG
Ill who resists his fate or would concealG
