Rhyme Scheme: A B CDECFGGFHIHIJJ K

Questa umil fera un cor di tigre o d' orsaA
-
HE PRAYS HER EITHER TO WELCOME OR DISMISS HIM AT ONCEB
-
-
Fiercer than tiger savager than bearC
In human guise an angel form appearsD
Who between fear and hope from smiles to tearsE
So tortures me that doubt becomes despairC
Ere long if she nor welcomes me nor freesF
But as her wont between the two retainsG
By the sweet poison circling through my veinsG
My life O Love will soon be on its leesF
No longer can my virtue worn and frailH
With such severe vicissitudes contendI
At once which burn and freeze make red and paleH
By flight it hopes at length its grief to endI
As one who hourly failing feels death nighJ
Powerless he is indeed who cannot even dieJ
