The Burdens Of All Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIJAKLK AMBLNOCO PBQBNRHR

We may sigh o'er the heavy burdensA
Of the black the brown and whiteB
But if we all clasped hands togetherC
The burdens would be more lightB
How to solve life's saddest problemsD
Its weariness want and woeE
Was answered by One who sufferedF
In Palestine long agoE
-
He gave from his heart this preceptG
To ease the burdens of menH
As ye would that others do to youI
Do ye even so to themJ
Life's heavy wearisome burdensA
Will change to a gracious trustK
When men shall learn in the light of GodL
To be merciful and justK
-
Where war has sharpened his weaponsA
And slavery masterful hadM
Let white and black and brown uniteB
To build the kingdom of GodL
And never attempt in madnessN
To build a kingdom or stateO
Through greed of gold or lust of powerC
On the crumbling stones of hateO
-
The burdens will always he heavyP
The sunshine fade into nightB
Till mercy and justice shall cementQ
The black the brown and the whiteB
And earth shall answer with gladnessN
The herald angel's refrainR
When Peace on earth good will to menH
Was the burden of their strainR
